Eliza Vassallo

Director, Great Dreams

Eliza Vassallo is the Director and Co-Founder of the Great Dreams Program and the GRT Foundation. Eliza ‘s philanthropic work began in 2011, with the establishment of the GRT Foundation, which comprises a total of four divisions.

With a background in Psychology, Eliza is passionate about helping children, young people and families with their mental health and their ability to reach their full potential. After successfully founding and running a children’s psychology practice (Child’s Play Qld), it became apparent that supporting adolescents at best, required more than just the counselling and psychology framework.

Eliza believes that offering support outside the typical counselling framework, can offer adolescents an alternative to finding the right support. The model of the Great Dreams program can provide young people with access to mental health support, through ongoing mentorship, which will inevitably help them to realise their dreams, realise their full potential and commit to a path that is self-fulfilling and where opportunity and growth can be gained.

Glenn Vassallo

Committee Member

Glenn is a founder of GRT Lawyers and the GRT Foundation. As the managing director of GRT Lawyers and chair of the GRT Foundation, Glenn is passionate about working with his highly sophisticated national and international clients to implement their corporate strategy and solve their complex problems.

Glenn is passionate about implementing the corporate strategy of GRT Lawyers and the GRT Foundation. Glenn’s significant experience in formulating and executing complex corporate transactions (including IPOs, takeovers and other equity capital market transactions) with a particular focus on national and international stock and security exchanges puts him in a unique position to provide excellent advice.

EXPERIENCE

After building GRT Lawyers into a high quality law firm, and together with his wife Eliza, establishing the GRT Foundation into a sustainable Australian charity, Glenn built GRT App (a subsidiary of GRT Lawyers) and sold that to an ASX listed company. Glenn was the first chairperson of any Australian ASX listed company to successfully chair a real-time virtual meeting of shareholders. He is still today, the only person who has chaired a real-time virtual shareholders meeting for an ASX listed company.

Glenn is often invited to speak on global topics such as, capital markets, initial public offerings, takeovers and more recently was invited to New York University to speak at its global conference about social entrepreneurship.

Katie Meyer

Committee Member

Katie is a seasoned industry expert with over 20 years of experience in marketing and communications leadership positions across property development, asset management, and agency organisations, including Anthony John Group and Colliers International. Since joining Mosaic Property Group six years ago, she has worked closely with the COO to drive brand growth, customer engagement, and communications strategy.

As General Manager of Brand and Stakeholder Relations, Katie helps ensure Mosaic’s brand remains strong and relevant while fostering meaningful connections with key stakeholders. She previously served on the Board of Business South Bank, demonstrating her dedication to industry and community engagement.

People and their aspirations are at the heart of Mosaic—whether through creating exceptional homes or supporting grassroots initiatives via the Mosaic Foundation. As a member of the Great Dreams committee, Katie is proud to contribute to helping young people bring their aspirations to life.

Lili Vassallo

Committee Member

Lili is a high school student who loves to keep a high level of activity in her life, including multiple sporting commitments and singing. She has a very busy schedule of extra-circular activities, that keep her healthy and active.

Lili gives 100% in everything that she does and always tries to keep a positive mindset. She appreciates the opportunities that have been given to her, and she is aware that she has a huge advantage, as opposed to other teenagers, who are limited in their access to receive support to accomplish their dreams.

Lili has always been passionate about the Great Dreams Program and being hands on in helping the leaders of tomorrow. Lili is excited to represent the voices of young people as well as connecting with them and helping them to stay motivated towards achieving their dreams.

Each year, Lili also participates in in the 10K run, for the Noosa Triathlon, as a part of the Fundraising activity for the Great Dreams Program.
